One of my readers sent me the following question: "In 2006 I submitted to my City Hall the request for the installation of a led screen, but it was refused. So how is possible that in other cities nearby there are screens installed?" First of all, thanks for highlighting another key aspect for the installation of a LED screen: the authorization. Before answering your question, let me clarify one thing:

In most European countries (and worldwide) getting the permission for the LED screen installation is the first (and not always easy) step.

This is another question received from a reader: "I have a question about connection and transmitting. Let's say you have 5 LED boards. Let's say for a sample there are different politicians in different cities and they want to advertise their campaign. Is there a way to advertise each of them, on their city's LED board (all other ads would stay the same on all LED boards).

I just got this question from a reader of the blog: "Is here any danger for ping (delay time between computer that gives signal-commercial, and receiver, in our case LED billboard. Result would be commercial running with delays)? Also, is there any chance to "interfere" (in a way of viruses, and other treats that are common in computer-internet area)? Thanks for all.

In the past we discussed some basic information about LED technology. So just to summarize in case you missed anything, here's a brief recap:

* LED = a semi-conductor that emits light
* Pixel = the basic luminous dot, which can contain one or more LEDs
* Pitch = the distance between pixels, expressed in millimetres

Putting together a 100sqm screen is simply a result of assembling together smaller modules.
